Chiomonte lies in Alta Valle Susa at 750 m a.s.l., on the right side of the Dora Riparia river.

Before the 8th century the village was on the left side of the river, because of the instability of the mountain, situated near the Maddalena village

The territory includes 4 villages:
Frais,Sant'Antonio,Ramat e Cels

It is 62 km from Torino and it boasts 987 inhabitants on a mountain surface of 2666 Ha.
